Jiah Khan aka Nafisa Khan is a British Indian actress famous for her roles in the films like 'Ghajini' and 'Nishabd'. She changed her name from Nafisa to Jiah before making debut in the Indian films. In 2012, she changed her name back to Nafisa.
She was born on 20th February 1988 in Chelsea, London. Her parents are Ali Rizvi Khan who is an Indian American and Rabia Amin, former Bollywood actress. Jiah completed her studies in film studies and Literature from London. She went to the Lee Strasberg Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York but left it soon when she received a movie offer from Mumbai.

At the age of 16, she was about to debut in Mukesh Bhatt's Tumsa Nahin Dekha, but backed out when she felt the role was too mature for her, and was immediately replaced by Dia Mirza. Two years later in 2006, she debuted in the controversial Nishabd, where she acted opposite Amitabh Bachchan. The film was released on March 2, 2007 to mixed reviews.She changed her name to Jiah Khan before making her debut in Nishabd in 2007. She was mostly known for her role in the 2008 film Ghajini, in which she worked with Aamir Khan. She made her third and last film appearance in Housefull in 2010. Khan was noted for her confidence, attitude, and sex appeal. Then she appeared in AR Murugadoss' Ghajini, Hindi remake, along with Aamir Khan and Asin Thottumkal released on 26th Dec, 2008. She also got a "Filmfare Best Debutant" Nomination for her performance. She also appeared as a supporting actress in Sajid Khan's Housefull which was her last film. Jiah Khan allegedly committed suicide at her Juhu residence in Mumbai on 3 June 2013. The 25-year-old is believed to have hung herself. Bollywood is shocked over her sudden demise. It is said that she had been depressed for some time due to personal issues, but was keen on returning to acting soon.
